We're launching **ACH and RTP payouts in the US** with a new banking partner — no Virtual Accounts needed.

All ACH and RTP bank accounts have been deprecated. New fields and rules apply to bank account creation for both ACH and RTP.

## TL;DR

- ACH and RTP payouts now available in the US with a new banking partner (no Virtual Accounts)
- All existing ACH and RTP bank accounts are deprecated — new accounts must be created with the new rules
- Business customers require `business_industry` (NAICS code)
- Individual customers require local `tax_id` (e.g. CPF for Brazil, SSN for US)
- ACH and RTP payouts are capped at **$50K** for now
- All USD payouts will go to **compliance_reviewing** for manual review during the first few days

## Rules you need to know

### Customer-level rules

- **Business customers:** You must add `business_industry` (NAICS code) when the customer is a business.
- **Individual customers:** You must set `tax_id` to the **local** tax ID for the beneficiary's country (e.g. CPF for Brazil, SSN for the US). The system validates and formats it per country where required.

### Payout limits and status

- All ACH and RTP payouts are **capped at $50K** for now.
- All USD payouts will be pushed to **compliance_reviewing** status so our team can manually review them for the first few days.

## Bank account creation — New fields and rules

These rules apply to **both ACH and RTP** bank account creation.

### Business accounts

- `business_industry` (NAICS code) is **required** when the customer or account class is `"business"`.

### Individual customers

- `tax_id` must be the **local tax ID** for the beneficiary’s country (e.g. CPF for Brazil, SSN for the US). The system validates and formats it per country where required.

### Phone number

- `phone_number` is **required** when the beneficiary’s country is one of: **BR, CN, CO, HK, MY, MX, PH, UG, UY**.

### Tax ID

- `tax_id` is **required** when the beneficiary’s country is one of: **AR, BY, BR, CL, CN, CO, CR, EC, GT, HN, JP, KZ, KR, MX, PK, PE, PH, RU, TH, UY**.

## What this means for you

**Action required:** Recreate any ACH or RTP bank accounts with the new required fields and rules. Do not use deprecated ACH or RTP bank accounts.
